Soul and Mind

Reading is good for both. Do you know O.Henry? Do you like his stories? As a child I saw "The gift of the magi", which title changed to "Gift of love", and "The last leaf" at least three times on T.V. They moved my heart, nourished the soul, and made quite an impression. Found out years later, that those programs were based on short stories by O.Henry. More years past until, finally, I  bought a book called "41 stories by O.Henry", which I'm reading at the moment. I like his sense of humor and the unexpected twisting point towards the end of his stories.

Conserning the mind. Since I'm not an English native speaker, his use of the language, vocabulary, expressions and  idoms are rather mind-raking for me.
